How do I block/allow specific applications and websites?

NetSpark Mobile allows you to customize your personal protection settings by creating "Custom Filtering Rules". You can create rules to block applications and websites if you think they are inappropriate for your current protection level or allow applications and websites that are restricted to your current protection level. It is also possible to set a temporary rule for a limited amount of time.

The Custom Filtering Lists can be managed from within the NetSpark management portal and NetSpark Mobile app on your device.

In order to add a "Custom Filtering Rule" from within the NetSpark management portal, please complete the following steps:

1. Go to www.netsparkmobile.com from a computer (not a smart device) and log in to the management portal with your admin username and password.

2. Click on "Additional Settings" located under the "Protection Settings" column.

3. Click the "Custom Filtering rules" tab.

4. Select the desired content type in the drop down menu. You can create a rule for either a Mobile App ("App"). Website ("URL"), or an IP Address ("IP").

5. In order to add a mobile app, enter the unique app name in the text box and select the correct app from the auto-suggest list. If the app you are looking for is not found, you will need to enter the app's unique package name.

In order to add a website, enter the exact website address (for example gmail.com and not just Gmail).

6. Select the desired protection level in the drop down menu and click "Add".

7. Your rule will now appear in the custom filtering rules list below.

In order to add a temporary "Custom Filtering Rule", please complete the following steps:

1. Select the desired content type in the drop down menu

2. Enter the unique application name or website address.

3. Select the desired protection level.

4. Check the "Limit time" checkbox.

5. Select the amount of time you want the rule to be active in the drop down menu. If you select "Custom Time", set the end time and date you want the rule to expire.

6. Your rule will now appear in the custom filtering rules list below.

* You can remove a rule from your list by clicking "Remove".

* You can clear your list by clicking "Clear list".

* You can change the protection level at any time by clicking on the drop down menu located under the "Level of filtration" column.

In order to add a "Custom Filtering Rule" from within the NetSpark Mobile app, please complete the following steps:

1. Open Netspark Mobile application on your device.

2. Login with your device's username and password.

3. Press "Custom Filtering Rules"

4. Press "New item".

5. Select the desired content type in the drop down menu. You can create a rule for either a Mobile App ("App"). Website ("URL"), or an IP Address ("IP").
